Role
The successful applicant will be involved as part of the team in the preliminary and detailed design of civil & infrastructure for a wide range of projects including industrial and residential developments, schools, universities and hospitals etc. Responsibilities will include contributing to a team progressing projects through preliminary and detailed design with particular emphasis on client requirements.
There will also be a need to undertake site visits, produce engineering designs including the provision of written and documented calculations, preparation of scheme drawings, processing and preparation of contract documents, upkeep of project technical document, comply with company management system and attend meetings as required.
Skills:
oApplicants should possess a strong civil / infrastructure design capability.
oCapability in the use of MX, PDS and AutoCAD computer software and an understanding of the CDM Regulations is essential.
oAn increasing proportion of my client's appointments are multi-disciplinary, and the ability to understand the input of, and be able to communicate with the various professional backgrounds working on a project will be an advantage.
Qualifications:
oDegree in Civil Engineering or HNC/HND with suitable experience.
oApplicants should also be working towards becoming a Chartered or Incorporated member of a recognised intuition
Personal Qualities:
oGood team player able to work in busy multi discipline office.
oThe ability to communicate clearly and work to agreed quality and timescale targets is essential.
oApplicants should be aspiring Senior / Principal engineers.
oThe applicant should have solid experience within a civil engineering consultancy background.
