Digital Manager/Designer/Programmer

Urban River is a full service agency unlike any other and is currently looking for an experienced individual to head up the Digital Department. Your role will encompass both the management and delivery of digital projects.

Your role as a Digital Manager

You will have solid experience working in a design agency and have a passion for design and new media.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running and management of the digital studio. You will be in regular contact with the Office Manager and Company Directors to ensure continuous feedback regarding schedules for all projects in development and will be responsible for the management of all digital projects from conception to completion.

During the project development process you will be responsible for creating a customer experience second to none.

Your responsibilities will include performance monitoring of the development team, ensuring that projects are delivered to agreed timescales, budgets are set in agreement with the Directors and projects are delivered according to these. In addition, you will ensure products are produced to the agreed quality standards.

You will formulate the development strategy for your team, which includes, project management, future internal projects, expansion, technology and cost efficiencies.

You will understand the Company vision, the relevance and interaction of other roles within the Company and the impact of your decisions to the overall operation of Company.

You will attend and contribute towards weekly forward planning meetings with the Directors.

Where relevant you will liaise with other members of staff in order to resolve any queries or conflicts in order to achieve a balance between development requirements and service excellence.

Your role as a Designer/Programmer

Urban River, a successful design agency is looking for super-creative designers and programmers to join their design team on a full time permanent contract. The roles will require fantastic design and programming skills with an in-depth knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, XHTML, CSS and Photoshop. You will have a passion for clean code, and creating slick user experiences.
You will be working on a range of projects utilising top-notch design and development techniques for client throughout the UK.
