Our client a UK provider of email and mobile marketing and communication services based in Durham are looking to recruit a Technical Solutions Consultant.

The role
As a key member of the development tea, you will be responsible for assisting clients during the pre-sales, implementation and in-life stages of their contract to enable integration of existing business and technical processes with the Company's platform.

You will have:

Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business and technical processes.
Demonstrable experience of understanding existing process and proposing solutions that are fit for purpose.
Demonstrable experience of producing concise and logical requirements and technical specifications.
Ability to think quickly in client situations and apply technical principles to new problems.
A professional approach to all aspects of your work.
A positive and proactive approach in dealing with clients' requirements.
A commercial outlook that can identify the potential opportunities for up-sell when dealing with clients.
A proven track record in Software Development and Business Analysis.
End to end experience of the Software Development lifecycle.
Proven experience interacting directly with end users.

Relationships
All members of the product development, client services, technical and business development teams and external clients.

Main Duties
Obtain client requirements relating primarily but not exclusively to data architecture, data integration, analytics integration and conversion tracking. Document these in a logical and concise manner with aim of obtaining client sign-off. These requirements may be known and unknown during discussions and should include functional and non functional elements.
Communicate with client representatives face to face, via email or telephone. Facilitate discussion to achieve agreement between both parties. Communicate on an ongoing basis as appropriate. It is anticipated that up to 30% of the role will be based off-site attending client meetings.
Propose solutions to address client requirements incorporating aspects of existing product functionality and existing integration capabilities in conjunction with suitable process where possible.
Document these solutions in a format that is understandable by both technical and non-technical client contacts.
Where a solution requires additional technical work by either the client and/this company, produce detailed technical specifications that can be distributed to both the client and this company's technical staff.
Liaise with the technical staff to verify the legitimacy and practicality of any proposed solution.
Obtain client sign off for any proposed technical work.
Provide estimates of solution implementation time to the client's account manager and Head of Development in order to prioritise any technical work.
Prepare test plans in order to accept any technical work that has been implemented in order to facilitate a solution.
Prepare user guide documentation to the support team as well as the end user.
Keep abreast of technical and industry developments and innovations, particularly in the areas of data architecture and system integration.
